PAST PROJECTS

Rebel Hospitality (formerly Neighborhood Development Corporation), began when owners Gene Kornota and Tony Klok opened the first boutique hotel concept in Chicago called Neighborhood Inns of Chicago. This group of boutique inns on the cities north side was comprised of quaint, inn-like properties designed to attract visitors seeking escape from the bustling downtown area. The hotels included City Suites, the Surf Hotel, Park Brompton, and Lake Hotel. Shortly after, NDC acquired and managed the Hotel Indigo downtown as well as the Comfort Inn and Suites on Ohio St. While these hotels are no longer in the stable of Rebel properties, they remain the foundation by which the furture vision was established.
